VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION

Volunteers who will be on-campus are required to complete an online registration and screening on Raptor and complete all the required steps, which includes providing a photo ID to the Turtle Rock Elementary School office. Registrations expire in June and volunteers need to re-register every school year. On-campus volunteers need to report the school office before each volunteer shift and print a name tag.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 

• Book Fair:  The school has two bookfairs (Fall and Spring) and needs volunteers to organize and stock books, cashiering, help kids find books, and clean up. 2-hour shifts are available during school hours. Librarian will email sign up information.
• Classroom Support:  Teachers request volunteers to help with making copies, preparing work packets, in-classroom reading and math small group support, and other general classroom support activities. Contact teacher for specific volunteer needs.
• Event Staff:  Turtle Rock PTA organizes multiple family events throughout the year and volunteers are needed for event set up and clean up, sell or distribute tickets, concession stand, run game or activity booths, and other event support. Sign up information is emailed throughout the year.
• Room Parent(s):  Volunteer during the entire school year to support classroom activities including creating classroom directory, planning classroom parties and activities, cascading communication and information to parents, organizing teacher and staff gifts, and other general teacher support. • Yearbook Volunteers:  Volunteer to take pictures of your child's classroom activities and other school events. Pictures will be included in the yearbook.
