STUDENT PERFORMANCES

• Eligibility: All Turtle Rock Elementary students (PK through 6th grade) are welcome to participate in the Talent Show.
• Student Performers: All performers must be current Turtle Rock Elementary students and each student is limited to one performance act. The only exception is for piano accompanists supporting solo instrumental or vocal performances.
• Performance Acts: Students may perform individually or as a group. Performances may be instrumental, vocal, dance, magician, comedy, drama, martial arts demonstration, and more.
• Piano Accompaniment: Students requiring piano accompaniment must arrange for their own accompanist. Piano accompaniment may be adults or students from others schools.
• Performance Time Limit: Each individual or group performance must be 3 minutes or less, from start to finish. No exceptions.
• Performance Readiness: Students must be able to enter and exit the stage on their own and be comfortable performing their acts independently in front of a live audience.
• Performance Materials: Students are responsible for providing all instruments (except piano), props, costumes, equipment, and other materials needed for their performances. Music stands, microphones, and speaker will be provided by the school.
• Mandatory Dress Rehearsal: All students selected to participate in the Talent Show must attend the dress rehearsal. Dress rehearsal will be scheduled at the end of January after school (more information will be provided at a later date).
• Talent Show Date: Talent show is scheduled on Friday, January 29, 2027 in the evening.

INTEREST FORM AND VIDEO SUBMISSIONS

• Parents must complete a participant interest form and submit a video of the student performer online using Google forms by Thursday, December 17 at 11pm. No late submissions will be accepted so submit early.
• Video submissions must include the following:
  1. Videos need to be MP4, MOV, or AVI file formats with a maximum file size of 1 GB.
  2. Students need to say their full name, grade, and teacher at the beginning of the video.
  3. Videos should show the student’s entire performance clearly in one take and audio should be audible. Mistakes are ok. No video editing.
  4. Performance acts should be 3 minutes or less. Performances longer than 3 minutes will not be reviewed.
• A panel of parent and teacher volunteers will review videos and select performances that fit with the time allocated and ensure a variety of performance acts.
• Parents will be notified if their student was selected to participate in the talent show in early January 2027.
